[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] #CLOBOT Co., Ltd, an intelligent robotics service company, announced on the 22nd that President Ryu Jeong-hoon participated as a panelist in the “Republic of Korea Strategic Economy Forum: The Era of AI Transformation—The Path for Korea’s Strategic Economy” and presented the direction for the development of the physical AI industry and plans for building a data ecosystem.

The forum was co-hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET) and was held under the theme “The Present and Future of AI: AI Agents and Physical AI.” President Ryu participated in the panel discussion alongside Kim Byung-soo, CEO of ROBOTIS; Yoon Byung-dong, professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University; and Park Tae-wan, Director General for Information and Communications Industry Policy at the Ministry of Science and ICT.

President Ryu emphasized that robots play a central role in the physical AI ecosystem and stressed the need to establish a framework for data ownership and utilization, which is key to competitiveness. He also explained the importance of “connectivity”—which organically links factory equipment, robots, and workers—and the establishment of a data orchestration system to manage this integration.

Regarding government policy, he suggested that expanding robot demonstration projects could serve as a catalyst for data standardization. He explained that the data and operational know-how accumulated during these demonstrations could lead to the establishment of industry standards.

President Ryu also predicted that, alongside the implementation of “dark factories”—unmanned facilities—exporting the accumulated operational know-how in the form of factory operation solutions could present a new growth opportunity.

Based on its autonomous driving software “CHAMELEON” and the heterogeneous robot integrated control platform “CROMS,” CLOBOT Co., Ltd supplies robotic automation solutions for manufacturing, logistics, and power generation facilities. Recently, through the acquisition of DOOSAN Logistics Solutions (DLS), the company has secured integrated operational capabilities covering the entire logistics center.
