[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] The group LUN8 is returning to the summer music scene with a lighter, more upbeat vibe. LUN8 (Photo: Fantagio) According to their agency, Fantagio, on the 22nd, LUN8 will release their fourth mini-album, “Off the Grid,” at 6 p.m. This comeback, their first in 10 months, conveys a message throughout the album that they intend to break free from established standards and expectations and forge their own path. The core theme of this new album is “liberation.” Lunate’s attitude—to draw a new starting line on a path they’ve chosen for themselves rather than conforming to others’ standards—is expressed through bright and refreshing music. It’s notable that even amidst the upbeat atmosphere perfect for summer, they haven’t lost sight of their determination to grow and evolve as a group. The title track “SNEAKERS” most clearly illustrates the album’s direction. It portrays the image of youth tying their shoelaces and moving forward on their chosen path with bright, positive energy. Rhythmic slap bass, drums, and whistling create a lively flow, and the chorus maximizes a refreshing sense of openness. It’s also significant that members Takuma, Junwoo, and Ian directly participated in creating the signature choreography. Rather than simply performing the song, they engaged in the performance planning process, more actively showcasing LUNATE’s unique style and teamwork. The album features a total of four tracks, including the title track. “TO THE MOON” conveys a message of setting off together toward the moon, which symbolizes the group, while “BACK” is a track driven by strong determination and raw charm. The modern rock ballad “My Most Beautiful World” tells the story of a father’s time and love—which the members only came to understand after becoming adults—adding emotional depth to the album. Starting with this comeback, Lunate will also expand their performance venues. On the 8th of next month, they will meet fans in Seoul at their first-ever solo fan concert, “OFF-ZONE.” Following that, on the 10th, they will embark on their second tour, “BEYOND THE MOON,” starting in Warsaw and traveling through eight European cities, including Amsterdam, London, Cologne, Munich, Budapest, Paris, and Lisbon.
