[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] Global fashion eyewear brand Gentle Monster unveiled additional designs for its next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) glasses at SamsungElectronics’ Galaxy Unpacked event. The wearable device, powered by Google Gemini, supports hands-free AI features such as real-time translation, navigation, and photo capture.

Gentle Monster announced on the 22nd (local time) that it unveiled the second design in its Intelligent Eyewear Collection—developed through a technological collaboration with Google and SamsungElectronics(005930)—at the Galaxy Unpacked event held in the UK.

This product is a pair of glasses-style wearable devices that combines Gentle Monster’s design with audio, a camera, a microphone, and Google’s generative AI, “Gemini.” It is characterized by its ability to utilize AI features while maintaining a form factor similar to regular glasses.

Following the unveiling of its first design earlier this year, Gentle Monster introduced a new optical frame at this Unpack event. The new design features a minimalist rectangular silhouette, crafted to blend seamlessly with everyday outfits.

Fashion models Alex Consani and Anok Yai participated in the campaign for the new design. The campaign images released alongside the announcement focus on everyday scenes featuring the wearers wearing the intelligent eyewear.

The product supports both Android and iOS devices. It is compatible with Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, and Apple iPhone devices, and users can activate Google Gemini via voice commands.

Key features include real-time translation and interpretation, navigation, context-aware assistance, and visual information capture. Users can also enjoy music, make voice calls, and take photos hands-free.

The weight has been reduced for greater comfort. A single charge provides up to 9 hours of use, and the dedicated charging case allows for up to 7 additional charges.

Gentle Monster’s first intelligent eyewear collection is scheduled for official release this fall. The collection consists of eyeglass and sunglass styles, and Gentle Monster plans to unveil additional designs beyond the two already revealed.
