Co., Ltd., Korea’s first company to commercialize XR (extended reality) middleware, is strengthening its push into domestic and international markets through the ecosystem of Unity, the world’s leading 3D platform. K3I. Co., Ltd. announced on the 23rd that it participated in “Unite Seoul 2026,” an event hosted by Unity, and officially launched its 3D generative plugin, “XR Framework-3DGR.”

XR Framework-3DGR is a plugin that supports the entire process—from prompt input for the generative engine to output generation and optimization—all in one go. It is designed to be easily utilized within the Unity environment by integrating with various global generative 3D asset engines, including World Labs, Meshy, Tripo, Rodin, Blockade Labs, and Skybox.
Additionally, by integrating the open-source optimization tool “Meshoptimizer” into the plugin, it enables end-to-end processing—including the lightweighting and optimization of generated 3D assets. The company explains that this allows developers to freely use multiple generative engines within Unity while maintaining an optimized workflow.
K3I. Co., Ltd. plans to use the launch of this new plugin as a springboard to secure a leading position in the global middleware market. The company intends to continue enhancing the plugin, focusing on graphics optimization features, to begin generating significant revenue from XR middleware in the 3D asset market, which is undergoing a transformation driven by generative AI.
A K3I. Co., Ltd. representative stated, “As global conglomerates expand their development of generative 3D asset engines, demand for middleware that integrates these engines with existing production environments and optimizes the generated output for use in actual projects is expected to surge.” The representative added, “Through this new middleware, which is compatible with various global 3D engines, we will actively target the high-quality 3D content market, including games, XR, VR, and film.”
