According to the latest weekly album chart released today by Circle Chart—the integrated music chart operated by the Korea Music Industry Association—“GREENGREEN” recorded cumulative album sales of approximately 3,099,000 copies.
Among albums released in Korea this year, only two—BTS’s fifth studio album “ARIRANG” and Cortis’s new album—have surpassed 3 million in cumulative sales.
“Green Green” is an album released by Cortice on May 4. According to Hanteo Chart, a music sales tracking site, the album sold over 1.2 million copies on its release day alone and surpassed 2 million in cumulative sales within four days.
First-week sales (album sales within the first week of release) totaled 2,313,291 copies. This figure is more than five times the 436,367 copies sold by his first mini-album, “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES.”
Previously, Curtis also achieved a personal best by reaching No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 main album chart (dated May 23) with “Green Green.” The album’s cumulative plays on the global music streaming platform Spotify have surpassed 300 million.
Cortis is currently on the road for “PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN,” his first tour since his debut.
