[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] On the 23rd, KYOBOSECURITIESCO.,LTD. projected that PLANTYNET Co., Ltd.(075130), which generates stable profits based on its harmful content blocking business, will see its digital care and data businesses emerge as new growth drivers. The firm did not provide a specific investment rating or target price.

Kim Ji-young, an analyst at KYOBOSECURITIESCO.,LTD., explained, “PLANTYNET Co., Ltd. was founded in 2000 as the first company in Korea to specialize in blocking harmful content via the Internet, and it was listed on KOSDAQ in 2005.” She added, “The company provides related services through Korea’s three major telecommunications carriers and cable Internet providers, and its expansion into overseas markets is becoming a reality as it secures international clients such as Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan and VNPT in Vietnam.”

Based on its harmful content database (DB), accumulated over more than 25 years, and its large-scale traffic processing technology, PLANTYNET Co., Ltd. maintains long-term contracts with South Korea’s three major telecommunications carriers. Last year, revenue reached 45.6 billion won, a 24.4% increase from the previous year, while revenue in the digital care division totaled 22.4 billion won, marking an average annual growth rate of 16.6% over the past three years.

Researcher Kim predicted that the growth potential of the Digital Care business will increase further with the spread of AI-based internet environments. He noted, “As the AI-based internet market expands, sophisticated cyberattacks such as deepfakes, smishing, and voice phishing are on the rise, and PLANTYNET Co., Ltd.’s wireless-based business is expected to grow.” He added, “With the recent surge in harmful websites using the ECH protocol both domestically and internationally, PLANTYNET Co., Ltd. holds relevant QUIC patent technology, so we also anticipate new revenue generated from future government countermeasures.”

Analysts also note that the data business is continuing its growth trajectory. Through its digital magazine platform “Moajin,” PLANTYNET Co., Ltd. provides content from over 2,400 domestic and international magazines and supports features such as AI-based curation, TTS (Text-to-Speech), and automatic translation.

In particular, since the launch of its B2C service in July 2024, the number of subscribers has grown from approximately 2,042 to 125,000 as of March this year, and the company is expanding its business primarily with SamsungElectronics and mobile carriers, according to the report.

Researcher Kim predicted, “With its core business serving as a stable cash cow, the expansion of its digital care business based on AI capabilities, and the growth of ‘Moajin’ as a data business all working in tandem, a revaluation of PLANTYNET Co., Ltd.’s medium- to long-term corporate value is likely.”
