On the 23rd, E-Sens posted a statement on his social media channels, saying, “I clearly state that the physical contact in question took place with mutual consent and in a natural atmosphere; there was no coercion, assault, or intimidation, and I have never attempted any inappropriate contact against the other person’s will.” Earlier that day, Dispatch reported that Lee Sense had received a summary order imposing a fine on charges of sexual assault. According to the report, Lee Sense is accused of sexually assaulting a woman identified as Ms. A (30) at a club in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, last August. It was reported that Ms. A testified that, despite her expressing refusal, iSense sexually harassed her by leaning in to attempt a kiss, biting her neck, and touching her buttocks with his hand. In connection with this case, the Seoul Southern District Court issued a summary order in June imposing a fine of 5 million won on iSense. iSense appealed the decision and requested a full trial. The first hearing is scheduled for September 2. In a statement posted regarding the matter, I-Sense explained, “I attended a party at a club with friends, exchanged greetings with several people I had never met before, and also greeted the complainant and her group.” He continued, “After that, in a relaxed atmosphere, we toasted and danced. During that time, we danced and had fun while standing close to each other, and we even exchanged phone numbers.” He claimed, “After that, the complainant and I had no contact or interaction whatsoever. Then, in December of last year, the complainant’s side suddenly alleged that I had committed sexual assault and demanded an apology.” He added, “Since I had no intention of apologizing for something that was completely untrue, I consistently remained silent, and a few months later, the complainant filed a criminal complaint.” He further emphasized, “At the time, there were many acquaintances of mine inside the club, as well as people who recognized me. Given that situation, it was a natural atmosphere for dancing and socializing.” He added, “I absolutely cannot agree with the allegation that I ignored her refusal and committed sexual assault,” and stated, “I will participate diligently in the court proceedings to reveal the truth.” Lee Sense, a former member of the hip-hop duo Supreme Team, has recently continued his activities by appearing on shows such as Mnet’s “Show Me the Money 12” and EBS’s “Space Empathy.”
