[Edaily Reporter KYUNG GYEYOUNG ] E-MART Co., Ltd. announced on the 24th that it will begin selling “Salted Butter Pretzel Sticks” from the authentic German bakery brand “Ditsch” at Traders stores nationwide and on SG CO., LTD.’s website.

Founded in 1919, Ditsch is a brand specializing in “Laugen,” an authentic German baking method. Laugen involves dipping the dough in an alkaline solution before baking.

Ditsch’s Salted Butter Pretzel Sticks come in a pack of 10 and feature a rich flavor achieved by adding salted butter to the pretzels. Each stick weighs 84g and is individually wrapped, making it ideal as a meal replacement or snack. If you take them out of the package two hours before eating, you can enjoy the pretzels’ chewy texture and the savory taste of salted butter simply by letting them thaw naturally—no additional cooking required.

E-MART Co., Ltd.(139480)Until August 2, this new product is available for 13,980 won—a 2,000-won discount—when paid with a SAMSUNG CARD CO., LTD. card. Traders Club members can also earn 500 won in TR Cash.

Since last April, E-MART Co., Ltd. has been introducing menus from famous overseas restaurants so customers can enjoy them at home, starting with Margherita pizza from Damichele in Naples, Italy. Last May, it also launched three varieties of pad thai from Tip Samai in Bangkok, Thailand. Damichele’s pizza and Tip Samai’s three types of pad thai have proven popular, with cumulative sales exceeding 9,000 units and 12,000 units, respectively.

E-MART Co., Ltd. plans to strengthen its product competitiveness by consistently developing menus popular with domestic and international consumers, and to enhance price competitiveness by reducing intermediate distribution steps through direct sourcing in collaboration with renowned overseas restaurants.

Park Jong-hwan, Head of Overseas Sourcing at E-MART Co., Ltd., said, “We will continue to discover popular, proven restaurants overseas,” adding, “We hope customers will easily enjoy authentic local flavors at home through the direct-sourced products from overseas restaurants that E-MART Co., Ltd. is introducing.”
