Jennie personally participated in both the lyrics and composition. Previously, Jenny previewed the new song on stage at the Polish music festival “Offner Festival,” revealing, “I wrote this song with summer in mind.” She also generated buzz by sharing teaser content for the new song—shot with Taiwanese model Kai—via her social media channels. Her agency, OA Entertainment, stated, “The song is characterized by a dreamy, laid-back texture created by the blend of lo-fi guitar sounds and vintage electric keyboards,” adding, “Jennie also participated in directing the music video for the new song, which was filmed in Spain, infusing it with her own aesthetic and sensibility.” Meanwhile, Jennie is currently ranked near the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with “Dracula,” a collaboration with the Australian psychedelic rock band Tame Impala. The song reached No. 5 on the latest Hot 100 chart (dated July 25). Following the release of her new song, Jennie will perform at events such as “Lollapalooza Chicago” in the U.S. and “Summer Sonic 2026” in Japan.
