[Edaily Reporter Lee Youn-jung ] KATSEYE, the global girl group formed by HYBE and Geffen Records, continued its upward momentum by achieving its highest-ever ranking on the U.S. Spotify chart with its new song “Animal.”

According to the latest Spotify charts released on the 26th, “Animal” ranked No. 4 on the “Daily Top Songs USA” chart dated July 24. This marks KATSEYE’s all-time highest ranking, surpassing their previous hits “Internet Girl” (No. 6) and “PINKY UP” (No. 10).

“Animal” also entered Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs Global” chart at No. 9. It appeared on charts in a total of 47 countries and regions, including the U.S. (No. 4), Canada (No. 7), and the U.K. (No. 15). Notably, “Animal” was the only new song among those that made it into the global Top 20 that day to have been released less than 24 hours earlier.

The music video also broke the 10 million view mark on YouTube in just about a day, setting a new personal record for the fastest-reaching milestone. The concept, which playfully portrays the life of a pop star, and the cameo appearance by Hollywood actress Demi Moore drew significant attention and buzz.

U.S. Billboard praised the track, stating, “Demi Moore brought out the ‘Animal’ slumbering within Cat’s Eye,” while People lauded it, saying, “The cinematic music video breathes life into this captivating pop track.”

Cat’s Eye is a group that debuted in the U.S. in 2024 based on the “multi-home, multi-genre” strategy spearheaded by HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk and K-pop methodology. Previously, they won three awards—including “New Artist of the Year”—at the “2026 American Music Awards” and were nominated in two categories at the “68th Grammy Awards.”

Meanwhile, Cat’s Eye’s third EP, *WILD*, which features “Animal,” is set for release on August 14. Following the release, Cat’s Eye will embark on “THE WILDWORLD Tour” starting in September, with a total of 31 performances across 10 countries in North America and Europe.
