[Edaily Reporter Lee Youn-jung ] With three days to go before its release, the movie "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has surpassed 500,000 advance ticket sales, raising expectations for its box office performance.

According to the Integrated Movie Ticket Network on the 26th, as of 11:00 a.m. that day, advance ticket sales for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” (Spider-Man 4) stood at approximately 502,900. This marks the highest advance ticket sales figure among films set to be released this year, as of three days before their opening.

If this trend continues, analysts predict the film is highly likely to top the box office upon its release on the 29th, surpassing the current top-ranking films. This figure even exceeds the advance ticket sales at the same point for “Avatar: The Way of Water,” which drew 10 million viewers in South Korea in 2022.

“Spider-Man: A Brand-New Day” is the fourth installment in Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man series. It tells the story of Peter Parker, who had chosen to erase himself from everyone’s memory but gains uncontrollable powers due to an unexpected DNA mutation.

Tom Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker, alongside Zendaya, Mark Ruffalo, Jacob Batalon, John Bernthal, and Michael Mando. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously helmed *Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings*.

The Spider-Man series has also achieved consistent box office success. *Spider-Man: Homecoming* grossed $880 million worldwide, *Spider-Man: Far From Home* grossed $1.132 billion, and *Spider-Man: No Way Home* grossed $1.921 billion. In South Korea, the films drew 7.25 million, 8.02 million, and 7.55 million viewers, respectively.
