“The Eye” continues to ride a wave of word-of-mouth success, with attendance figures rising in its second week compared to its opening week. Following its achievement of surpassing 1 million viewers two days faster than last year’s thriller “Noise,” it has now reached the 1.5 million milestone.
The film is a suspense thriller that follows Seo-jin, who is gradually losing her sight due to a genetic disease, as she investigates suspicions surrounding her twin brother’s death and is confronted with a shocking truth. It also drew attention as Shin Min-a’s return to the big screen after a three-year hiatus.
Directed by Yeom Ji-ho, the film stars Shin Min-a alongside Kim Nam-hee, Lee Seung-ryong, and Kim Young-ah.
