[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] Laseroptek Co., Ltd.(199550), a company specializing in laser devices for skin care and the treatment of skin conditions, announced on the 27th that it held a commemorative ceremony at its headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, to mark its 26th anniversary. Founded in 2000, Laseroptek Co., Ltd. has accumulated technological expertise in the treatment of pigmentation, vascular conditions, and other skin disorders since becoming the first company in Korea to independently develop medical lasers. Following the launch of products such as “PALLAS,” “PicoLO,” and “Helios 785 Pico,” the company entered the consumables market last year with the release of “SCULPIO,” and this year unveiled the “VASCURA 589,” a high-power, solid-state 589nm vascular laser. The company plans to use this commemorative event as an opportunity to accelerate the normalization of its North American operations and the expansion of its therapeutic laser portfolio. In particular, the company’s strategy is to strengthen its penetration of the global vascular laser market, centered on the “VASCURA 589,” and to expand its revenue structure—currently focused on aesthetics—into the therapeutic sector, aiming to improve the ratio of aesthetics to therapy to approximately 7:3 over the medium to long term. It has also completed the reorganization of its North American sales network. The company has established a direct sales system centered on the U.S. West Coast and Texas and has expanded its market into Canada. The company expects a rebound in performance starting in the second half of this year, followed by full-scale growth beginning in the first quarter of 2027, once the U.S. litigation issues are resolved. Chairman Joo Hong stated, “Strengthening our fundamentals and solidifying our foundation is key to future growth,” while CEO Lee Chang-jin said, “We will expand our business scope to focus on disease treatment and actively target the global market.” The event also included an awards ceremony honoring long-serving employees and outstanding staff members.
