Studio Gale announced on the 27th that its new animated series “Nanolist” will premiere as a TVING Original on the 17th of next month.
“Nanolist” follows the sweet yet deadly daily life of ordinary high school student “Ahn Do-jin” as he protects “Nano,” the ultimate killing machine left behind by his older sister. It is based on the popular webtoon “Nanolist” (by author Min Song-ah), which holds a rating of 9.98.
Two teaser posters released on the 27th focus on “Nano,” the ultimate android left behind by his older sister, sparking curiosity. Next to “Nano” running with a determined expression is the caption, “My name is Nano, and I’ve come to kill you,” while the back view of “Nano” looking down on the city late at night features the contrasting line, “Even if I have to bring the world crashing down, I’ll protect your world,” foreshadowing “Nano’s” emotional transformation.

“Nanolist” is drawing significant attention not only as an adaptation of a legendary webtoon but also as Studio Gale’s first foray into sci-fi action—a studio known for producing some of Korea’s leading animated works. “Nanolist” garnered attention by unveiling a 20-second trailer at the “Character Licensing Fair & Board Game Con 2026,” held from the 16th to the 19th and organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Korea Creative Content Agency.
Studio Gale produced iconic Korean animated series such as “Pororo” and “Tayo.” It has also gained recognition for its production capabilities in the global market through works such as “Grammy’s Circus Show” and “Long Long, You’re Gonna Die, Right?” In particular, its original IP “Tishi Tashi” not only won the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award at the Korea Content Awards but also achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the first Korean animation to be exported to the BBC Children’s Channel in the UK.
