"Reducing Search Time and Improving Research Productivity"
[Edaily Reporter Yun Junghoon ] An AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION Researcher A is developing new cosmetics to target overseas markets. In the past, it took anywhere from several days to several dozen days to search through multiple systems to find essential ingredients, relevant formulation examples, and data on regulated ingredients by country. However, since recently adopting an AI agent, the researcher can now view the necessary data and analysis results at a glance in just 5 minutes.

KTCorporation(030200) AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION(090430)announced on the 28th that it has successfully implemented the “Data Highway” project, which integrates and redesigns the entire dataset of Amorepacific’s R&I Center (Technology Research Institute). Through this project, the two companies have fully established a specialized data platform that will drive AI-based research and development (R&D) innovation.
Previously, after winning the contract for AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION’s “Data Highway” project in December of last year, KTCorporation formed a strategic partnership with the company and has been jointly advancing data infrastructure development to create an AI-based R&D environment.
The core of this project was the conversion of millions of structured and unstructured R&D assets—accumulated by the AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION Technology Research Institute over the past 70 years—into “AI Ready Data,” a format that AI can instantly understand and utilize.
KTCorporation standardized experimental data, research reports, and formulation information—which had been fragmented across various locations within the institute—and completely redesigned the structure so that disparate data sets could be connected within a single context. Rather than being limited to a single AI service, the system was designed to serve as a “central data repository” that can be shared by the various AI services and AI agents AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION plans to introduce in the future.

Based on AI Ready Data, the two companies also unveiled “LEMON COMPANY LIMITED (Lab Efficiency Mode ON),” a generative AI assistant that provides close support for researchers’ R&D work.
For example, if a researcher asks in natural language, “Please provide information on the new ingredients, fragrance composition, and related experimental results for formulation 3321123,” LEMON COMPANY LIMITED connects the relevant data within a single context to provide comprehensive review results and supports data-driven decision-making. This not only reduces the time spent on repetitive information searches and improves research efficiency but also creates an environment where researchers can focus on more creative research and new product development.
Noh Hyung-rae, Executive Vice President and Head of the Corporate Business Division at KTCorporation’s Enterprise Division, stated, “This project is not merely about building an AI service; it is a prime example of AX innovation that transforms research assets accumulated by companies over decades into ‘AI Ready Data’ that AI can understand and utilize.” He added, “Based on our experience in building the Data Highway, KTCorporation will expand AI Ready Data-based AX across various industries—including manufacturing, distribution, and services—and actively support companies’ AX initiatives.”
