[Edaily Reporter LEE YUN-JEONG ] Up-and-coming artist MPTF has officially released their first single, “Take It Back,” along with its music video, marking the start of their full-fledged music career. Featuring an intense alternative rock sound that weaves a narrative of chaos and conflict, the song is garnering an unprecedented response in the global indie music scene—including North and South America—despite lacking support from a major agency.
“Take It Back” is an alternative rock track characterized by intense guitar riffs and heart-wrenching lyrics, delicately yet powerfully conveying a narrative of chaos, conflict, and a range of emotions. Despite being a one-man band and an indie artist, MPTF is rapidly gaining traction through social media and short-form video platforms, racking up notable music video views in overseas markets.

In particular, the music video—produced and directed by Lee Dae-han of CHERRYJAVELIN Productions—has been praised for visualizing explosive energy and raw emotion in a unique style. Immediately after its release, it garnered attention from global music fans and film festival organizers, winning an award at the “Indie Short Fest” in Los Angeles and receiving invitations to seven regional film festivals, including those in Buenos Aires and Rome. Additionally, it achieved the remarkable feat of reaching the semifinals at the “Flicker’s Rhode Island International Film Festival,” an official qualifying festival for the Academy Awards and the UK’s BAFTA Awards.
Starting with this debut single, “Take It Back,” MPTF plans to release a series of diverse new songs in the second half of this year.
