[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] #Finemedix Co., Ltd., a provider of gastrointestinal endoscopy solutions, announced on the 28th that it has obtained domestic manufacturing approval for its new endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) incision knives, the “DuoJet Knife” and “Swing Knife,” and has completed the registration of these new models.
With this approval, Finemedix Co., Ltd. has expanded its ESD knife product lineup. The company plans to strengthen product training for medical professionals and secure clinical references, while expanding product supply primarily to tertiary general hospitals and large hospitals where ESD procedures are frequently performed. The “DuoJet Knife” is a device that integrates a needle for drug injection and a cutting tip for radiofrequency incision into a single instrument. It is designed to allow both drug injection and incision with just the handle, thereby reducing the number of instrument changes required.
The “Swing Knife” features a design that allows the tip of the incision blade to be freely maneuvered, and was developed to enhance procedural convenience even when treating hard-to-reach lesions.
Finemedix Co., Ltd. announced that it obtained product approval for the ClearCut Knife from Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) earlier this year and is currently negotiating supply prices to expand its local distribution.
Jeon Seong-woo, CEO of Finemedix Co., Ltd., stated, “In the therapeutic endoscopy market, the importance of developing instruments that enhance procedural efficiency and safety is growing,” adding, “We will continue to expand our lineup of endoscopic instruments to reflect the diverse needs of the medical field and strengthen our push into the global market.”
