[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] LG CNS (#LGCNES) discussed plans for AI-based smart city collaboration with Amata, a Thai industrial city developer.

According to Amata on the 28th, Wiwat Kromadit, Director and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Amata Corporation, recently met with LG Corp. executives in Seoul to exchange views on AI, digital infrastructure, and smart city development trends.

Amata is a company that develops and operates large-scale industrial complexes and industrial cities in Thailand, Vietnam, and other countries. As it operates industrial hubs housing global companies in sectors such as automotive, electronics, and high-tech manufacturing, it is recognized as a company with significant demand for smart city and industrial infrastructure upgrades.

Both sides agreed that the role of AI and digital infrastructure is growing in future cities and industrial ecosystems, and discussed potential collaboration for building next-generation smart infrastructure and fostering a smart city ecosystem.

Following the meeting, CTO Viwat and an Amata representative visited LG Corp.’s Innovation Showcase Center (ISC Co., LTD.) to review solutions related to smart cities and digital transformation. They examined real-world applications of cutting-edge technologies that are transforming urban and industrial environments into more intelligent and connected structures.
