Yoo Jae-suk couldn’t hide his delight upon seeing Park Ji-sung, who appeared even more dashing than before, remarking, “You’ve really grown into a handsome man.” Park Ji-sung, who served as a commentator at the CONCACAF World Cup, shares behind-the-scenes stories—including how he accurately predicted Spain as the champion—and opens up about his honest feelings regarding the South Korean national team, which was eliminated in the Round of 32. He plans to share his honest thoughts on the national team’s game strategy at the time, stating, “I just couldn’t understand it,” along with the true feelings behind his angry expression immediately after the match against South Africa. Meanwhile, following South Korea’s early elimination from the 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially launched the “K-Soccer Innovation Committee” to devise a plan for the renewal of Korean soccer. Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Choi Hwi-young and Park Ji-sung serve as co-chairs, and the committee includes soccer figures such as commentators Lee Young-pyo and Park Joo-ho, as well as sports industry figures and experts including Yoo Seung-min, President of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee; Kim Seung-hee, Executive Director of the Korea Football Association; Cho Yeon-sang, Secretary General of the Korea Professional Football League; attorney Yoo Young-geun; and Professor Kim Dae-hee.
