RNT-X, which has declared its entry into the missile business, received official notification from the Defense Acquisition Program Administration on the 29th and plans to move forward with joint missile development, mass production, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) projects.
Hwang Seong-hwan, CEO of RNT-X, stated, “Obtaining this weapons procurement agent qualification is a crucial foundation for establishing partnerships with European missile manufacturers,” adding, “We will also accelerate our ongoing discussions with European counterparts.”
He added, “We are in the final stages of negotiations with several local governments to secure facilities for production, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), and research and development,” and noted, “We will also accelerate our efforts to be designated as a defense contractor.”
