KTCorporation announced on the 30th that it is collaborating with SamsungElectronics to launch the “Safety Management Watch,” a 5G value-added service for enterprises, and is moving to strengthen its B2B (business-to-business) industrial safety services.
The newly unveiled “Safety Management Watch” is based on an enterprise-exclusive Galaxy Watch equipped with “SmartThings Pro for Safety,” SamsungElectronics’ B2B-dedicated safety management platform.
“Enterprise-Exclusive 5G” is a service that maximizes security by separating data traffic between public networks and corporate internal networks via a dedicated gateway. By integrating the Safety Management Watch with this service, it provides real-time, integrated analysis of on-site environmental data—such as temperature and humidity—as well as biometric data like heart rate and activity levels, thereby supporting personalized safety management.
Key features include △SOS emergency requests △fall detection △abnormal heart rate detection △heat stress management △access control for hazardous zones. Field workers can intuitively check their health status via the Galaxy Watch and immediately notify nearby colleagues and managers in the event of an abnormality. Managers can also take swift initial action by comprehensively monitoring on-site data such as weather, temperature, and location.
Starting with this collaboration, the two companies plan to expand the application of industrial safety services—which combine enterprise-grade networks, wearable DEVICES, and the SmartThings platform—to various worksites, including construction, manufacturing, and logistics.
In addition to this “Safety Management Watch,” KTCorporation is continuously expanding its “Safety AX Solutions” portfolio, which encompasses facility and worker safety, including △an emergency alarm that detects screams and abnormal sounds △an AI-powered safe driving solution △intelligent fire detection, and △EVMS (Event Video Monitoring System).
Jeon Myeong-jun, Executive Vice President and Head of the Enterprise Service Division at KTCorporation’s Enterprise Business Unit, stated, “As social concern for industrial safety and corporate responsibility continue to grow, KTCorporation is now able to provide more convenient industrial safety services to enterprise-exclusive 5G customers through our collaboration with SamsungElectronics.” He added, “KTCorporation will continue to expand its Safety AX Solutions to prevent various industrial accidents and contribute to strengthening the safety competitiveness of our corporate customers.”
