[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] Singer-songwriter Han Roro has reinterpreted “The Thesis of a Cruel Angel,” the theme song from the Japanese anime “Neon Genesis Evangelion.”

According to music production company SHgold Networks on the 30th, the Korean-language remake of “The Thesis of a Cruel Angel,” performed by Han Roro, will be released at 6:00 p.m. today via various online music platforms.
“The Thesis of the Cruel Angel” is a song released in 1995 by Japanese singer Yoko Takahashi, characterized by its intense rock sound. The song was used as the opening theme for “Neon Genesis Evangelion” and has enjoyed steady popularity in Korea as well.
The production of this Korean-language remake is part of the “J-Pop Remake” project, in which K-Pop artists reinterpret and perform classic J-Pop songs. Singer and TV personality Gangnam is the project’s producer, and “Banquet Song,” performed by Taeyeon, was released as the first track last month.
SHgold Networks expressed high hopes for the track, stating, “Han Roro has reinterpreted ‘The Cruel Angel’s Thesis’ in her own unique style, showcasing her signature delicate tone and profound emotional depth.”
