[Edaily Starin Choi Hee-jae Reporter] Person A, who raised allegations regarding actor Hwang Jung-min’s private life, stated, “What I have been asking Hwang Jung-min for the past two years is a direct explanation.”

On the 30th, Ms. A revealed on her social media that she is the other party involved in the stalking case involving actor Hwang Jung-min and refuted the position taken by Hwang Jung-min’s agency.
Regarding the criminal case in which Hwang Jung-min filed a complaint against her, Ms. A stated, “I have appealed this decision, asserted my innocence, and requested a formal trial,” adding, “There is no final guilty verdict.”
Previously, on the 29th, Hwang Jung-min’s agency issued a statement describing A as “a suspect in a stalking crime who has continuously harassed Mr. Hwang Jung-min,” adding, “We filed a criminal complaint against A, and the court has issued provisional measures—including a restraining order—on three separate occasions, as well as a summary order imposing a fine of 3 million won.”
Regarding the provisional measures, including the restraining order, Mr. A claimed, “These were extended twice during the investigation and trial period as part of protective measures for the complainant.” He also stated that he is currently pursuing a lawsuit against Hwang Jung-min seeking damages for tortious conduct.
Regarding his relationship with Hwang Jung-min, Mr. A said, “We got to know each other as an actor and a fan,” adding, “Private contact began around August 2023 when Hwang Jung-min reached out to me.” He further claimed, “Hwang Jung-min requested, ‘We are now business partners and acquaintances,’ and ‘Don’t act like a fan anymore,’ so I stopped my activities as a fan.”
She said, “We maintained a close relationship for several months, to the point where we exchanged calls or messages several times a day.” She added that Hwang Jung-min proposed a soju brand business using her name and his representative works, and also encouraged her to write a novel. Ms. A elaborated, “There are also sexual writings I composed at Hwang Jung-min’s request.”
She also raised issues regarding the process of ending the business partnership and their relationship. Ms. A claimed, “At a certain point, Hwang Jung-min unilaterally cut off business discussions and communication.” She revealed that while she had proposed discussing compensation for the labor she had already invested and the terms of ending the relationship in a private manner, Hwang Jung-min filed a criminal complaint against her for stalking.
Regarding this matter, A stated, “This was emotional and sexual exploitation that occurred within a power imbalance, and at the same time, it was labor exploitation,” adding, “Regardless of Hwang Jung-min’s intentions, I had to continuously endure emotional deprivation, sexual humiliation, and burnout resulting from unpaid labor.”
Regarding the released audio recording, she explained, “This was a call Hwang Jung-min initiated to me around mid-October 2024,” adding, “In his complaint, Hwang Jung-min claims that my contact with him in February 2024—eight months prior to that call—constituted stalking. While claiming that the stalking has been ongoing since February 2024, he was the one who called me first eight months later and made intimate remarks.”
Mr. A said, “I have already submitted the original recording and transcript of the entire call to the court as evidence,” adding, “The substantive truth of our relationship cannot be obscured by a single procedural incident—namely, ‘stalking’—that occurred during the course of our relationship, nor should it be buried. I will present the rest as evidence in court.”
Regarding her reason for sending emails to the production company and distributors ahead of the release of the film *Hope*, she explained, “It was to notify them and request an independent review so that this issue would not come to light before the release and cause harm to the film and the production team,” adding, “It was not aimed at the film itself.”
Previously, Ms. A had raised allegations of an extramarital affair with Hwang Jung-min via her social media. The allegations spread after Ms. A’s social media posts were shared on online communities and social media platforms on the 29th. Ms. A had released messages and audio recordings exchanged with a man believed to be Hwang Jung-min, claiming that he had made romantic advances toward her.
Hwang Jung-min’s agency and the production team of the film *Hope* have warned that they will take strong legal action against Ms. A. Hwang Jung-min, who has denied the allegations, is proceeding with his schedule as planned. On the 29th, immediately following the controversy, he attended a stage greeting for *Hope* and met with the audience. This weekend, he will hold stage greetings in Busan, Daegu, and other cities.
