Ko Chang-hoon, CEO of EMnI Co., Ltd., made this statement in a Seohan published on the company’s website, saying, “As CEO, I sincerely apologize for causing great worry and concern to our shareholders,” and added, “I will take full responsibility for protecting the company and enhancing its corporate value under any circumstances.”
EMnI Co., Ltd. is a company that has grown based on organic light-emitting diode (OLED) material technology; its founding was inspired by CEO Ko’s experience of struggling to source research materials domestically while studying OLEDs in graduate school. Currently, the company is contributing to the development of Korea’s advanced materials industry by supplying research materials to universities and research institutions.
CEO Ko said, “As LG Energy Solution’s official cell battery supplier in India, EMnI Co., Ltd. has been pioneering the local market since last year,” adding, “This year, we have secured supply contracts totaling approximately $1.35 million (about 1.9 billion won) in major regions of India and are steadily expanding our local sales base and customer network.”
He continued, “The heavy water (D₂O) business has begun to establish itself as a new growth engine, recording sales of approximately 3.5 billion won this year,” and noted, “We are also continuing to pursue research and development on next-generation all-solid-state battery materials to prepare for future competitiveness.”
Finally, he added, “Please do not judge the company’s potential based solely on its current difficulties,” and pledged, “I will be a responsible CEO who restores trust through results rather than words and explains difficult situations openly and transparently.”
