According to
Wavve
on the 31st, “Deupom” is a service that allows users to listen to a variety of video content—including dramas, variety shows, news, and educational programs—without a screen, while also providing access to audio-exclusive content. It is designed to enhance the audio experience, enabling users to conveniently enjoy content even during various moments in daily life when viewing the screen is difficult. While improving the accessibility and usability of the audio mode, Wave is also introducing a “Ddeupom” Special Section that brings together audio-exclusive content and content optimized for audio enjoyment in one place.
Wavve stated, “Through the ‘Deupform’ service, we aim to comprehensively cover various moments of daily life—such as commuting, work, sleep, and childcare—and evolve into an ‘everyday platform’ that users naturally turn to every day.”
Switch Between Video and Audio with a Single Button

According to Wavve, “Ddeupform” features an audio mode button prominently displayed on the player’s front screen, allowing users to easily switch between video and audio. When switching to audio mode, the interface changes to a minimalist design centered on the artwork, and playback continues even when the smartphone is in a pocket or the screen is locked. Features such as “Resume Playback,” which picks up where you left off, and a “Timer” that automatically turns off the audio at a set time have been added to maximize convenience while commuting or before bed.
Enjoy Dramas, Variety
Shows, Current Affairs & Educational Programs,
and Kids’ Content Conveniently Through Audio
Only Audio Mode is available for a wide range of video content, including
dramas, variety shows, current affairs and educational programs, and kids’ content
. From dramas and variety shows with audio descriptions—such as the Wavve Originals “Park Ha-kyung’s Travelogue” and the “Game of Blood” series—to a wide range of broadcast content like “Midnight Ghost Stories,” “History Journal: That Day,” “The Naked History of the World,” and “Lecture Battle Show: The Con Artists,” all can be enjoyed in Audio Mode. In addition, users can listen to a wide variety of content, including kids’ content featuring nursery rhymes and fairy tales, music programs from broadcasters, and live terrestrial TV channels.
All in One Place in the “Listen Form” Special Section
Wavve is introducing
the “Listen Form
Special Section
, where users can conveniently browse audio-exclusive content and content optimized for audio listening in one place. These items are marked with a “Great for Listening” badge so users can easily identify them. EBS’s “Great Lessons, Great Minds” series and language learning content in English, Japanese, and Chinese, as well as Oljae Audiobooks—which is currently running a “Sharing Wisdom” project featuring voice actors reading classic literature—will be rolled out sequentially as “Ddeupom” content. YouTube content has also been newly added, including “Mysterious Night,” which covers mysteries, ghost stories, and unsolved cases, and “Yoo Seong-ho’s Demantok” by forensic scientist Professor Yoo Seong-ho.
A Wave representative explained, “In addition to watching dramas and movies, we aim to provide an experience where users can naturally enjoy Wave during various moments of their daily lives—from their commute to just before bedtime—when their eyes need a rest,” adding, “We will become a platform that enriches users’ daily lives.”
Recently, the content industry has seen a surge in popularity not only for “long-form” content but also for “short-form” content that can be enjoyed quickly and easily. Attention is now focused on whether Wave’s “listening-form” content will serve as an opportunity to broaden users’ options for content consumption.
