[Edaily Starin Choi Hee-jae Reporter] As allegations regarding actor Hwang Jung-min’s private life have surfaced and speculation about the whistleblower, identified as “A,” continues to spread, his agency has issued a statement asking the public to stop making reckless assumptions.

Hwang Jung-min’s agency, Sam Company, stated in an official statement on the 31st, “We have confirmed that indiscriminate slander, profanity, and speculative comments are being spread online targeting a general fan who is unrelated to actor Hwang Jung-min,” adding, “The person currently being mentioned online is merely a genuine fan of actor Hwang Jung-min and is not a stalker, as some have alleged.”
The agency expressed concern, stating, “Legal proceedings regarding this matter are currently underway,” and added, “Speculation and personal attacks directed at an unconfirmed individual cause great harm to an innocent person.”
They continued, “We earnestly ask that you immediately stop posting unfounded criticism and speculative comments.” Sam Company also emphasized, “We will closely monitor the situation to prevent any innocent victims from arising, and we will take firm action—including legal measures—against any continued malicious slander and defamation.”
Previously, Ms. A raised allegations of an extramarital affair with Hwang Jung-min through her social media. As these claims spread through online communities and social media, the allegations gained traction. Ms. A had previously released messages and audio recordings exchanged with a man believed to be Hwang Jung-min, claiming that he had made romantic advances toward her.
Hwang Jung-min’s agency and the production team of the film *Hope* have warned that they will take strong action against Ms. A. Hwang Jung-min, who has denied the allegations, is proceeding with his schedule as planned.
