[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] Billboard highlighted how Kim Hyun-jung, Vice President of Big Hit Music, successfully led the launch of BTS’s “Arirang.”
On the 30th (local time), Billboard announced its list of 40 young leaders under the age of 40, with Vice President Kim Hyun-jung being the only Korean to make the list. Explaining the reason for her inclusion, Billboard described her as “the person in charge of BTS’s operations and business,” adding that she “successfully led the launch of BTS’s comeback album ‘ARIRANG,’ released last March, and their stadium tour.” Through Billboard, Vice President Kim stated, “The release of ‘ARIRANG’ is one of my proudest achievements,” adding, “The past 12 months have been filled with countless historic moments for BTS, and I am deeply grateful to have been part of that journey.” As the head of Big Hit Music’s A&R team, Vice President Kim spearheaded the production of BTS’s global hits such as “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and “Permission to Dance.” In 2023, he moved to Columbia Records—a label under Sony Music Entertainment—as Vice President of A&R before returning to HYBE.
