[Edaily Starin JOO MEE_HEE Reporter] MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Married Woman Killer” topped the Friday-Saturday drama ratings, reaching the 8% range after just two episodes.

According to Nielsen Korea on the 2nd, the second episode of “Married Woman Killer,” which aired on the 1st, recorded a viewership rating of 8.0% based on nationwide household ratings. This represents a 0.6 percentage point increase from the first episode (7.4%) and marks the top spot among dramas airing in the same time slot and among Friday-Saturday dramas.
The episode depicted the protagonist, Yoo Bo-na (Gong Hyo-jin), facing a crisis as she clashed with Oh Hyun-nam (Ha Yul-ri), a witness to the Kingfisher sniper incident from the past. After receiving a mysterious threatening letter, Yoo Bo-na found herself face-to-face with Oh Hyun-nam, who had joined her company as a new employee specializing in poisoning.
Oh Hyun-nam’s real name is Oh Seung-ah, and she was the person who witnessed her father being shot 15 years ago. Oh Hyun-nam revealed that she had poisoned Yoo Bo-na’s husband, Kwon Tae-sung, and pressured Yoo Bo-na by demanding an antidote in exchange. Episode 2 concluded with a scene in which Yoo Bo-na drank the poison without hesitation.
The drama “Married Woman Killer” tells the story of a working mother who works as a contract killer. It is drawing attention as actress Gong Hyo-jin’s return to MBC for the first time in 15 years, following her 2011 appearance in “The Greatest Love.”
