According to Nielsen Korea, a ratings research firm, on the 2nd, the ninth episode of “The Perfection of Marriage,” which aired on KBS 2TV on the 1st, recorded a nationwide household viewership rating of 7.5% (peaking at 8.9% per minute). Following the conclusion of its rival series, SBS’s “Manager Kim,” on the 25th of last month, the show has shown a continuous upward trend, building on the 7.3% rating from the eighth episode.
The episode depicted Kang Tae-ju (Namgoong Min) being questioned by the police regarding the death of Ha Jeong-su (Jeon Gwang-jin). Kang Tae-ju questioned the investigation’s conclusion that Ha Jeong-su acted alone, suggesting the possibility of a mastermind behind the crime. Later, based on information provided by Go Se-yoon (Lee Seol) during the interrogation, he uncovered that the list of successful candidates for a hospital clinical trial matched the list of lobby sponsors.
Meanwhile, Noh Man-hee (Kim Dae-myung), who is wanted by the police, attempted to purchase supplies needed for his escape but, upon realizing his identity had been exposed, murdered the owner of a hardware store. The episode concluded with Kang Tae-ju setting out to find Go Se-yoon after hearing that Noh Man-hee was heading to the hospital, only for Noh Man-hee to suddenly appear in front of Go Se-yoon.
