[Edaily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] LGELECTRONICS is expanding its business-to-business (B2B) operations by increasing the supply of commercial laundry appliances in Asia—including Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam—as well as in Europe and North America.

LGELECTRONICS announced on the 3rd that it has recently completed the supply of commercial washers and dryers to 630 stores operated by “Trendy Wash,” Thailand’s second-largest laundromat franchise. The company also plans to supply products to approximately 400 new stores set to open this year.

In the Philippines, LGELECTRONICS is also expanding its partnerships with major commercial laundry appliance distributors such as “ELS,” “Big Wash,” and “Express Clean.” The company is also expanding its business reach to Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Recently, the company opened a smart laundry store called “B Laundry” in Hanoi, Vietnam, in partnership with its local partner, “WW Vietnam.” The store provides laundry services to the general public while also serving as a venue where business operators and investors considering entry into the laundry business can experience LGELECTRONICS’ products and store management solutions.

Demand for commercial laundry appliances is rising in Southeast Asia due to the hot and humid climate, urbanization, and the increase in single-person households and rental housing. Last year, LGELECTRONICS’ sales of commercial laundry appliances in Southeast Asia increased by approximately 60% compared to the previous year. Sales in Thailand more than doubled, while sales in the Philippines increased by more than 1.5 times.

In Europe, LG Corp. will launch six models of its “LG Professional” line of large-capacity commercial laundry appliances (20 kg or more) this month. The lineup includes washers, dryers, and washer-dryer combos. Artificial intelligence (AI) analyzes the weight of the laundry to adjust water usage and drying conditions, and the dryers feature a dual inverter heat pump that uses a low-temperature dehumidification method. They can be installed without separate exhaust ducts or wall cutouts, making them suitable for leased commercial spaces.

In North America, the company has increased its supply volume to “CS CORPORATION ServiceWorks,” the leading provider of commercial laundry solutions, compared to last year. It has also been supplying products to “Wash,” the second-largest provider in North America, since 2024.

LGELECTRONICS has incorporated an Inverter Direct Drive (DD) motor into its commercial washers, which directly connects the drum to the motor. This design reduces vibration and noise while enhancing durability and energy efficiency.

Store operators can monitor the operating status of multiple washers and dryers in real time and control them remotely through the “Laundry Crew” management platform. They can also respond to product malfunctions using error notifications and smart diagnostic features.

Lim Ki-yong, Head of Overseas Sales for LGELECTRONICS’ HS B2B Division, said, “We will expand our global commercial laundry appliance business based on our products and management solutions.”
