Hyulim Networks(192410)[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] ONEUL E&M, a KOSDAQ-listed company specializing in the domestic antenna sector, is emerging as a key partner in the government’s national telecommunications infrastructure innovation project as it begins full-scale supply of its “12-port antenna compatible with all three major mobile carriers.” ONEUL E&M announced on the 3rd that it had recently delivered approximately 400 units of the “12-port antenna compatible with all three major mobile carriers” to two domestic mobile carriers in stages. (Photo courtesy of ONEUL E&M) The product supplied this time is a high-value-added solution that integrates 12 ports into a compact design just 45 cm wide. It is characterized by its ability to consolidate 3 to 4 existing 2-port and 6-port antennas—which were previously installed haphazardly—into a single unit, thereby significantly improving the urban landscape and dramatically boosting installation and operational efficiency. Base station antennas, which have traditionally been installed in complex parallel configurations on the rooftops of urban buildings, have long been criticized for not only detracting from the city’s aesthetic appeal but also posing a burden on building structural safety due to load and space constraints. ONEUL E&M explains that its 12-port integrated antenna fundamentally resolves these chronic issues by drastically reducing the number of installed antennas and maximizing the improvement of building exteriors. In particular, this product is narrow and has a small footprint, precisely aligning with the “slim-type antenna” policy direction recommended by the Ministry of Science and ICT. Consequently, it is highly regarded as a viable solution for rooftop renovation projects in the Seoul metropolitan area and major urban centers, where space constraints are severe. Currently, the Ministry of Science and ICT is implementing Phase 2 of the “Environmentally Friendly Improvement Project” targeting more than 1.7 million mobile communication base stations nationwide. This project aims to improve public safety and urban landscapes by consolidating redundant antennas and hiding exposed cables through measures such as shared use among telecom carriers and urban-friendly design. In particular, starting with Phase 2, the initiative is shifting beyond mere visual improvements toward a safety-focused wireless infrastructure system, making the reinforcement of structural stability against disasters and strong winds a top priority. An official from ONEUL E&M stated, “As the government-led eco-friendly wireless station renovation project gains full momentum, we expect demand for our integrated antennas to expand significantly.” The official added, “Building on our unparalleled track record of supplying products to the domestic market, we also plan to actively pursue entry into overseas mobile communications markets, where demand for slim integrated antennas is surging.”
