[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] #EGIS Co., Ltd., a company specializing in digital twins, announced on the 3rd that it has successfully completed testing of a next-generation solution that converts satellite data into 3D digital twin data and is now set to enter the aerospace market.

The solution, which has now completed validation, is a data refinement platform designed to utilize satellite data. Amid expanding government and private-sector use of satellites, the company has implemented technology that integrates collected satellite data and processes it into Low-Level of Detail (LOD) data. The company explained that it has applied not only image data integration and processing but also sensor data visualization technology.

Based on this solution, EGIS Co., Ltd plans to take the lead in the satellite data market. The company expects to secure a differentiated competitive edge, as domestic solutions have limitations in terms of high-volume satellite data processing performance and scalability, while overseas products require expensive hardware.

Commercialization efforts are also gaining momentum. The company has validated its technical capabilities through projects with overseas institutions and major domestic corporations, and has completed testing and copyright registration. It plans to launch the product as early as the second half of this year to secure business results in the aerospace sector.

Going forward, the company plans to build an aerospace data ecosystem by integrating with its Physical AI platform.

EGIS Co., Ltd. stated, “As the aerospace industry is shifting from its early stages—focused on satellite launches and manufacturing—toward a data-centric model, the demand for satellite data utilization is surging across various sectors.” They added, “Since raw satellite data cannot be used directly, demand for satellite data refinement solutions is increasing; however, foreign solutions come with high implementation costs.”

The official continued, “We are developing satellite data solutions centered on our proprietary digital twin technology—the only one of its kind in Korea and possessed by only four companies worldwide,” and added, “We recently completed testing and are preparing to launch the product, and we will move forward with expanding the aerospace ecosystem by integrating it with the Physical AI platform.”
