This figure falls just $2 million short of the all-time North American box office opening record held by “Avengers: Endgame” at $357 million. It also ranks second in terms of global opening weekend gross. “Spider-Man 4” added $572 million from international markets outside North America, bringing its global total to $927 million. First place is held by *Avengers: Endgame* ($1.223 billion), third by *Avengers: Infinity War* ($640 million), and fourth by *Spider-Man: No Way Home* ($600 million). With the production budget for “Spider-Man 4”—excluding marketing costs—reported to be $225 million, the film has already recouped its production costs with its opening weekend box office in North America alone. The film is also a box office hit in South Korea. Over the weekend from July 31 to August 2 alone, it drew 2,252,935 viewers. The cumulative audience count stands at 3,384,152, and it is on the verge of surpassing 4 million this week. “Spider-Man 4” is an action blockbuster in which Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland)—forgotten by everyone following the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”—is plunged into even deeper turmoil by the appearance of a mysterious enemy who remembers his true identity and by gaining uncontrollable powers due to a DNA mutation. He must face this new threat to protect those he cares about. The film is currently playing in theaters nationwide.
