"Vieworks Co., Ltd. Posts Revenue Growth for Fifth Consecutive Quarter… Target Price Maintained at 34,000" - Eugene

[Edaily Reporter PARK MIN ] EUGENE INVESTMENT & SECURITIES announced on the 30th that it has maintained a target price of 34,000 won and a “Buy” (BUY) rating for KOSDAQ-listed company Vieworks Co., Ltd.(100120), anticipating continued year-over-year revenue growth for the fifth consecutive quarter along with sustained improvements in profitability.

Previously, on the 3rd, Vieworks Co., Ltd. announced its preliminary second-quarter results (on a consolidated basis), reporting revenue of 63.9 billion won—a 1.9% increase year-over-year—and operating profit of 10.7 billion won, up 63.8% year-over-year.

By product category, still-image, industrial, and other detectors—which account for 39.9% of total revenue—declined by 7.9%, 33.3%, and 23.6%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. In contrast, revenue from video
detectors (16.7% of revenue) and industrial solutions (26.8% of revenue) each increased by 35.3% and 39.3% year-over-year
, rising by 35.3% and 39.3%, respectively, and driving overall revenue growth.

By region, North America (8.3% of revenue) and Europe (31.3% of revenue)
decreased by 16.0% and 20.3%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. Japan and
(11.2% of total revenue) increased by 28.8% and 84.8%, respectively, compared to the same period last year
, driving revenue growth.

In particular, South Korea (23.0% of revenue) and other regions (
23.3% of total revenue) saw modest increases of 3.4% and 9.2%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.

Park Jong-seon, an analyst at EUGENE INVESTMENT & SECURITIES, commented, “While second-quarter revenue was in line with market consensus (64.8 billion won in revenue, 8.3 billion won in operating profit), operating profit delivered a significant earnings surprise.” He added, “What is particularly positive is that the company delivered an earnings surprise for the second consecutive quarter, following the previous quarter, thanks to a significant improvement in profitability.”

He further assessed, “The positive aspects of the second-quarter results are that the company maintained revenue growth for the fifth consecutive quarter compared to the same period last year and achieved a significant improvement in profitability year-over-year.”

EUGENE INVESTMENT & SECURITIES projected third-quarter earnings (on a consolidated basis) of 57.4 billion won in revenue and
8.4 billion won, representing year-over-year increases of 7.0% and 95.5%, respectively.

Analyst Park said, “Amid a shift to stable year-over-year revenue growth for five consecutive quarters and continued improvements in profitability, the stock price is likely to turn upward in the future, driven by expectations for the implementation of corporate value enhancement plans.”
