Distributor Sony Pictures announced on the afternoon of the 4th that the cumulative audience count for “Spider-Man 4” had surpassed 4 million. This marks the fastest pace among films released this year. It beat the previous record set by Director Yeon Sang-ho’s “The Swarm,” which surpassed 4 million viewers on its 14th day in theaters, by one week.
Sony Pictures explained that “Spider-Man 4”’s 4 million milestone is the fastest among foreign films released since 2020.
Released in South Korea on the 29th of last month, “Spider-Man 4” is setting records by drawing 1 million viewers on its second day, 2 million on its fourth day, and 4 million on its fifth day.
“Spider-Man 4” is an action blockbuster in which Peter Parker—forgotten by everyone following the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”—is plunged into even deeper turmoil by the appearance of a mysterious enemy who remembers his true identity and by DNA mutations that grant him uncontrollable powers.
