tvN’s new drama “Gift” tells the story of a former professional baseball pitching coach who gains special abilities after an unexpected accident and is appointed as the head coach of a high school baseball team ranked last in the nation. It is a coming-of-age sports drama that explores the endless questions and struggles to find answers between talent and hard work. The series is based on the webtoon of the same name by author Jeong I-ri-ri, which is currently being serialized to great popularity on Kakao Webtoon.
Kim Woo-bin plays the role of “Jeong Min-yong,” a former professional baseball pitching coach. Jeong Min-yong is a character who has acquired the special ability to recognize people’s baseball talent at a glance. After leaving the professional ranks, he takes on the role of head coach for a high school baseball team ranked last in the nation and embarks on a new challenge by transforming the team in his own unique way.
Kim Woo-bin previously starred as “Genie” in the Netflix series *Everything Will Come True*, which was released last October. Attention is now focused on what kind of impression he will make with this new role.
