[Edaily Starin Choi Hee-jae Reporter] The movie "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" (Spider-Man 4) continues its box office run in its second week of release.

According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network on the 5th, “Spider-Man 4” took the top spot at the box office on the 4th, drawing 348,262 viewers. Its cumulative audience stands at 4,134,163.
In second place was Director Na Hong-jin’s “Hope,” which drew 61,228 viewers on the day, bringing its cumulative total to 4,235,700.
“Minions & Monsters” took third place and “Toy Story 5” fourth, as animated films continue their long-running success. “Minions & Monsters” drew 12,339 viewers that day, while “Toy Story 5” drew 7,890. Fifth place went to Disney’s “Moana,” a live-action adaptation of the animated film.
Today (the 5th) marks the release of director Christopher Nolan’s new film *The Odyssey* and the Korean animated film *Love’s Hachuping: The Legend of the Whale Jewel*. With highly anticipated films opening one after another, competition in the summer box office is expected to become even more intense.
“Spider-Man 4” is an action blockbuster in which Peter Parker—forgotten by everyone following the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”—is plunged into even deeper turmoil by the appearance of a mysterious enemy who remembers his true identity and by DNA mutations that grant him uncontrollable powers.
