[Edaily Reporter LEE YOUNG-MIN ] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that AEKYUNG INDUSTRIAL is launching a heartwarming charity initiative by donating household goods worth 5.3 billion won to vulnerable residents within the city.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the afternoon of the 6th that it held a donation ceremony with AEKYUNG INDUSTRIAL at Seoul City Hall and received daily necessities worth 5.3 billion won. The event was attended by Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, AEKYUNG INDUSTRIAL CEO Kim Sang-jun, Seoul Fruits of Love Chairman Kim Jae-rok, and People Sharing Hope Chairman Kim Jeong-an, among others.

The items donated by AEKYUNG INDUSTRIAL include daily necessities such as shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, cosmetics, and feminine hygiene products. These items will be distributed sequentially to welfare facilities and low-income, vulnerable residents within Seoul through Seoul Love Fruits and People Sharing Hope. The city anticipates that this will provide tangible assistance to households struggling to afford basic necessities.

AEKYUNG INDUSTRIAL’s donations to the Seoul Metropolitan Government have continued for 15 years, since 2012. The company has provided its household goods annually to support vulnerable groups in Seoul, and the cumulative value of donations through this year has reached 61.9 billion won.

Last year, the Seoul Metropolitan Government presented AEKYUNG INDUSTRIAL with a plaque of appreciation for its ongoing charitable activities. AEKYUNG INDUSTRIAL has continued its support year after year by donating large quantities of household goods without any separate publicity.

Kim Sang-jun, CEO of AEKYUNG INDUSTRIAL, said, “Moving forward, we will continue to carry out various social contribution activities that provide tangible help to neighbors in need, based on ‘love and respect,’ which is our corporate mission and management philosophy.”
