Kim Hee-jae first gained recognition in 2020 when he placed 7th on TV Chosun’s trot competition program “Mr. Trot.” Since then, he has released songs such as “Follow Me,” “Star, My Love,” “Jjan Jjan Jjan,” and “My Love I Can Never See Again.” “REVERB” is his new studio album, released approximately two years and six months after his second album, “Joy, Anger, Sorrow, and Happiness” (喜怒哀樂), in March 2024. Kim Hee-jae officially announced the new album’s release by posting a comeback timeline image on his official social media channels the previous day. According to the timeline, Kim Hee-jae plans to build anticipation for his comeback by sequentially releasing concept photos, the tracklist, preview clips, a highlight medley, and a music video teaser leading up to the album’s release. An agency representative stated, “With this new album, titled ‘Reverb’—an English word meaning ‘after-sound’ or ‘echo’—Kim Hee-jae will showcase his even deeper musicality.”
