[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] Electronic payment company KGINICIS CO.,LTD.(035600)is partnering with Korea Ratings Corporation to expand its digital finance business using payment data.

KGINICIS CO.,LTD. announced on the 6th that it signed a “Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Cooperation in Digital Finance and Data-Based Businesses” with Korea Credit Rating at KG Tower in Jung-gu, Seoul.

This agreement was established to combine the payment infrastructure and credit rating capabilities of both companies to identify new data-driven business models and respond to the rapidly changing digital finance market.

KGINICIS CO.,LTD. is a leading domestic payment gateway (PG) company that holds payment data used by numerous merchants and consumers. Korea Credit Rating, established in 1985 as Korea’s first credit rating agency, has accumulated expertise in credit rating and risk management since becoming a subsidiary of the global credit rating agency Moody’s.

The two companies plan to combine KGINICIS CO.,LTD.’s payment data with Korea Credit Rating’s credit rating system to explore data-driven financial services, such as developing financial products tailored to merchants and enhancing secure payment systems.

They also aim to identify collaboration opportunities in the fields of digital assets and financial services, share market information and industry trends, and explore new business models.

A KGINICIS CO.,LTD. official stated, “This agreement will serve as a catalyst for integrating the payment ecosystem with credit and data infrastructure,” adding, “We will leap forward to become a data-driven financial services company beyond payments and strengthen our competitiveness in the next-generation digital finance market.”
