Park So-dam participated in recording the audio description narration for the barrier-free version of the film “Conclave.” She lent her warm support through her narration to the film, which is being produced so that people with visual and hearing impairments can enjoy it without barriers.
This barrier-free version of “Conclave” was directed by Kim Mi-jo, with whom Park So-dam collaborated on “A Trip to Gyeongju”—the film that marked her return to the big screen. The combination of Park So-dam’s vivid narration and Director Kim Mi-jo’s distinctive, artistic direction is expected to further enhance the film’s immersive experience.
Park So-dam, who is taking on her first challenge as a narrator for a barrier-free film, lent her voice to *Conclave*, a film whose artistic merit was recognized with an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay at last year’s Oscars. Participating in the narration as a pro bono contribution, Park So-dam is set to convey not only the tension within the film but also the characters’ emotional arcs more vividly through her delicate sensibility and steady delivery.

Furthermore, having demonstrated a wide range of acting skills in various works—including the films *The Priests*, *Parasite*, and *The Ghost*, as well as the dramas *Record of Youth* and *Lee Jae, You’re Going to Die Soon*—her profound expressiveness is expected to shine once again in this project. Park So-dam’s exceptional narration is expected to enrich “Conclave” and make it even more compelling.
Park So-dam said, “I am truly grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a meaningful project,” adding, “I sincerely hope that all films can be produced in barrier-free versions.” She went on to share, “This project was a fun and meaningful experience for me as well.” The barrier-free version of *Conclave*, featuring Park So-dam, will undergo mixing and the addition of barrier-free subtitles, and community screenings and viewing requests will be available this September.
Park So-dam stars in the film *Gyeongju Journey*, which opens on the 26th. In the film, she takes on a new role as Young-ju, an elite law school graduate who is now unemployed and spends her days staring at cryptocurrency charts. *Gyeongju Journey* is the first commercial film by director Kim Mi-jo, whose directing skills were recognized with her debut film *The Seagull*. Park So-dam stars alongside Lee Jung-eun, Gong Hyo-jin, and Lee Yeon.
