With this IND submission, Voronoi, Inc. has expanded the global clinical development scope of VRN11 to North America. VRN11 is currently undergoing Phase 1b/2 clinical trials in Australia and Hong Kong, and the company is proceeding with procedures to expand clinical trials to major countries, including Canada.

The Canadian clinical trial will be conducted at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, a leading local cancer treatment facility. Professor Natasha Leighl, Head of Thoracic Medical Oncology and a professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine, will serve as the Principal Investigator (PI).

The clinical trial will evaluate the efficacy and safety of VRN11 in patients with EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer who have not previously received treatment, as well as in patients whose disease has progressed after receiving existing EGFR-targeted therapies.

Kim Dae-kwon, Head of Research at Voronoi, Inc., stated, “With the submission of the IND in Canada, we have expanded our global clinical development to North America, following Australia and Hong Kong,” adding, “Based on our collaboration with world-renowned lung cancer experts, we will gather clinical data from diverse patient populations to demonstrate the competitiveness of VRN11.”
