[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] Singer Lim Young-woong marked the 10th anniversary of his debut by sharing a heartfelt message with his fans, expressing his deep gratitude to those who have stood by him over the years.

On the 8th, Lim Young-woong posted a lengthy message on his official fan cafe, “Youngwoong Era,” reflecting on the start of his singing career: “Ten years ago, I thought the word ‘debut’ didn’t suit me.”
He recalled, “It all started with releasing a few songs and producing a few CDs—without any grand stages or flashy promotions,” adding, “Since I didn’t consider myself a prepared singer, that day was just an ordinary day with no special significance to me.”
He also expressed his gratitude to the fans who stood by him during his early days of obscurity. Lim Young-woong said, “I will never forget the fans who, no matter where I went, would arrive two hours early to hang banners, blow up balloons to hand out, and cheer my name,” adding, “I’m only now realizing that each and every one of those moments was the wind that ultimately brought me to where I am today.”
In particular, recalling the fans who supported him even before his appearance on TV Chosun’s “Mr. Trot,” he said, “Although there weren’t many members in my fan cafe, there were people who always ran alongside me,” and expressed his gratitude, adding, “They treated me like a star when no one knew who I was yet, and they filled the emptiness in my heart.”
Lim Young-woong stated, “While ‘Mr. Trot’ helped me become who I am today, it was ultimately you who made me the best I can be,” adding, “I am sincerely grateful that you chose me among so many singers and waited for my songs.”
At the end of the letter, he also left a steadfast promise to his fans. “The vow I kept repeating to myself—‘One day, I’ll be the best’—wasn’t just my own resolve; it was a promise you had already made to me,” he said, pledging, “I will continue to be the one singing by your side for a long, long time.”
He continued, “I hope your days are free from sadness and filled with beauty for a long time to come; that they are not dark but radiant every day; and that you stay healthy and happy,” and concluded his 10th-anniversary letter with the greeting, “I love you, Hero Era.”
Lim Young-woong debuted on August 8, 2016, with the single “I Hate You.” He later gained widespread recognition by winning TV Chosun’s “Mr. Trot” in 2020, securing a broad fan base and growing into one of Korea’s leading solo singers.
Lim Young-woong is scheduled to meet fans at his second stadium concert, “I’m Hero—The Stadium 2,” to be held from the 4th to the 6th of next month at the Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province.
