[Hwang Jin, Former Country Manager of Warner Music ADA Korea] To cut to the chase, it was a concert that can be summed up in one word: “growth.” The six-member boy group BOYNEXTDOOR kicked off their first world tour, “KNOCK ON Vol. 2,” over three days from the 17th to the 19th of last month at the KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Having successfully wrapped up promotions for their first full-length album “HOME,” released last June, the group proved through this concert that they truly deserve the title of “live performance powerhouses.”

A peculiar sense of tension hung in the air from the moment fans, holding their light sticks, held their breath in unison as they awaited the start of the first performance. When the intense band sound and visuals broke the silence to signal the start of the show, that tension transformed into a thrilling shiver. The opening scene alone was enough to heighten anticipation for the performance to come.
Boy Next Door kicked off the concert with the hip-hop track “06070,” which tells the story of their days as trainees dreaming of becoming singers. They then performed a total of 31 songs—including hit tracks such as “What’s Up,” “I Love You Just for Today,” “Earth, Wind & Fire,” “Hollywood Action,” and “Viral”—accompanied by the band’s live performance. They also showcased numerous new choreographies and performances not seen in previous shows, offering fans a fresh and unique experience.
It was evident throughout the performance just how much discussion and careful consideration had gone into the show. The members seamlessly navigated their diverse repertoire, bringing out the emotion of each song with expressions and gestures that perfectly matched the lyrics and atmosphere. Their seasoned stage presence—enjoying the performance to the fullest while never losing the flow—drew admiration from the audience.
It was also notable how they organically brought the concept and message of their new album *Home*—based on the group’s growth narrative—to life on stage. The setlist, visuals, live band performance, and choreography interlocked seamlessly to create a solid narrative arc with a clear beginning, middle, and end. The members’ heartfelt remarks and the audience’s enthusiastic response served as a testament to how the artists and their fanbase have grown and journeyed together.

BOY NEXT DOOR debuted in May 2023 under KOZ Entertainment, a label within HYBE Music Group. While the systematic structure and financial resources of a major agency provide a favorable environment for artists to gain diverse stage experience, sufficient support does not automatically translate into outstanding live performance skills and stage presence. The process of turning given opportunities into personal capabilities requires intense reflection and effort from each individual artist.
During this concert, Boy Next Door fully showcased the skills and stage presence they’ve honed through hands-on experience on various stages both domestically and internationally during their relatively short career. The power that kept the audience captivated for nearly three hours was something that couldn’t be achieved by scale or flashy set design alone.
“Nak On Volume 2,” which drew a total of 31,800 attendees over three days, was a performance that confirmed Boy Next Door has grown beyond simply being a group that delivers great songs to one capable of fully leading an entire show. K-pop has already established itself as a major pillar of the global music market and is exerting a powerful influence. We hope that Boy Next Door’s first world tour will serve as yet another opportunity to further expand that influence and reach.
