Set to open on the 16th of next month, the film “The Intern” depicts office life that transcends both generations and job titles. The story begins when “Ki-ho” (Choi Min-sik), a “silver intern” with 37 years of experience, joins the company of “Seon-woo” (Han So-hee), a dark horse in the fashion industry who rose to prominence just three years after launching her brand.
This marks Choi Min-sik’s return to the big screen two years after “Exhumation,” which drew 11.91 million viewers. Having captivated even the MZ generation with his down-to-earth charm during the “Exhumation” stage greetings, Choi Min-sik is raising expectations with his comeback in “The Intern.”
“Ki-ho,” played by Choi Min-sik, is the youngest member of the fashion startup Utuutu—a “silver intern” embarking on his second go at the working world. A veteran with 37 years of experience, “Ki-ho” is older and more experienced than his peers. Dressed in a suit complete with cufflinks, he adapts to the unfamiliar digital culture and the company’s free-spirited atmosphere with his signature diligence and warm humanity, unfolding a delightful tale of survival in a K-office.

Assigned as the direct intern to the young and capable rookie CEO “Seon-woo” (Han So-hee), he is set to deliver deep empathy and comfort to audiences through communication and friendship that transcend both generations and job titles.
