He has accumulated extensive experience across business operations, organizational management, and corporate governance, having served as Head of the Correction Business Division, Head of the Management Planning Office, and CEO of the subsidiary HNH Bio.
In his inaugural address, Co-CEO Kwon stated, “Today’s HCT is not a company built by the efforts of any single individual; rather, it exists because of the combined efforts of Chairman Lee Soo-chan, CEO Heo Bong-jae, and all our employees.” He added, “We will cherish and build upon the achievements and trust we have built together while further strengthening the company’s fundamentals and execution capabilities.”
Under the co-CEO system, HCT will focus its capabilities on core businesses where it has established a competitive edge. The company plans to accelerate decision-making and execution by fostering communication and collaboration within the organization, and to translate the technology, investments, and experience accumulated over the past 26 years into tangible business results.
In particular, the company plans to expand its testing and certification capabilities across all of the nation’s future strategic industries, including defense, aerospace and satellites, future mobility, nuclear power, and artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity.
The company is also accelerating its global business expansion. By leveraging its global certification network spanning over 200 countries and overseas hubs in the U.S. and Indonesia, H-City aims to support Korean companies’ entry into international markets and grow into a global technology partner that verifies not only product safety and performance but also industry-wide trust.
Co-CEO Kwon stated, “Our goal is to put HCT on a solid growth trajectory,” adding, “With all employees looking in the same direction and working together in their respective roles, we will build even stronger and more sustainable growth on the foundation we have established so far.”
