Of this amount, 50 million won will be used for the medical treatment of pediatric and adolescent patients, while the remaining 50 million won will be allocated to emotional support programs for patients’ families. This donation is particularly meaningful as it goes beyond simply supporting patients’ medical care to also provide emotional support for their families, who must endure the long treatment process alongside them. Last year, on his birthday, Changbin also donated to Samsung Seoul Hospital to support surgery and treatment costs for underprivileged pediatric and adolescent patients, as well as emotional support programs. Changbin stated, “Thanks to the immense love shown by my fans, I was able to engage in meaningful giving on my birthday,” adding, “I sincerely hope that my heartfelt gesture reaches those in need and serves as a source of hope and warm comfort, however small it may be.” Changbin’s charitable contributions have been ongoing. During the 2023 Turkey-Syria earthquake, he donated emergency relief funds through the international relief organization The Promise, earning him a spot in the “Honors Club,” a group for major donors. Last year, he also joined forces with his Stray Kids bandmates to support victims of disasters both at home and abroad. He donated to Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association and World Vision to aid in the recovery from wildfires in the South and North Gyeongsang regions, and also donated to World Vision Hong Kong to support recovery efforts following a fire in Hong Kong. Stray Kids, the group to which Changbin belongs, released their new mini-album *THIS & THAT* on the 7th and is currently promoting it.
