On the 11th, Cha Eun-woo’s agency, Fantagio, told Edaily, “‘Seorabeol Knife’ is one of the projects currently under consideration.”
“Seorabeol Knife” is drawing attention as the next project from director Jang Tae-yu, who directed “My Love from the Star” and “The Tyrant’s Chef.”
Previously, the Hankook Ilbo reported that the project was titled “The Tyrant’s Chef 2,” but it has since been confirmed that “Seorabeol Knife” is not “The Tyrant’s Chef 2.”
Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo enlisted in the military last July. He is scheduled to be discharged in January 2027, and with about six months remaining until his discharge, attention is focused on his future plans as he is quickly reviewing potential projects.
Cha Eun-woo was embroiled in a “tax evasion controversy” after it was revealed that he had undergone a tax audit by the National Tax Service and received a notice of additional tax assessment in the 200-won range. Subsequently, during the investigation, some instances of double taxation were acknowledged, and the final additional tax amount was reportedly adjusted to approximately 13 billion won. Although Cha Eun-woo reportedly paid the full amount of taxes in April, he filed a tax appeal with the Tax Tribunal on the 2nd.
In response, Cha Eun-woo’s agency, Fantagio, stated, “(Cha Eun-woo) filed a tax appeal in accordance with the procedures prescribed by law to seek a legal ruling,” adding, “As this matter is currently under review, it is difficult for us to comment on specific details.”
