On the 12th, NEOWIZ announced that it had decided to enter into a trust agreement with NH INVESTMENT & SECURITIES for the repurchase of 5 billion won worth of treasury stock.
The contract period runs from today through February 12 of next year. The number of shares to be acquired is 254,582, based on the closing price of 19,640 won on the 11th, the day before the board resolution. The actual number of shares acquired may vary depending on stock price fluctuations during the contract period.
This share buyback is in accordance with the mid- to long-term shareholder return policy announced by NEOWIZ last January. NEOWIZ has committed to guaranteeing a minimum of 10 billion won for shareholder returns in the 2026 fiscal year, and this 5 billion won share buyback corresponds to the portion allocated for share cancellation within that amount.
NEOWIZ plans to terminate the trust agreement after its expiration, take physical possession of the treasury shares acquired through the agreement, and cancel them in their entirety. Specific plans and schedules for the cancellation will be finalized and disclosed following a future board resolution.
Prior to entering into the trust agreement, NEOWIZ held 2,028,851 common shares, representing 9.4% of the total issued shares. Once the shares acquired through this trust agreement are also retired, the reduction in the number of issued shares is expected to generate shareholder returns.
