CLASSYS Inc. announced in a regulatory filing on the 12th that it recorded consolidated revenue of 105.5 billion won and operating profit of 43.9 billion won for the second quarter. These figures represent increases of 26.7% year-over-year and 21% quarter-over-quarter, respectively. The company explained that it maintained robust profitability with an operating profit margin of 41.6%.
This growth was driven by balanced expansion across major global markets and the inclusion of consolidated results from its South American subsidiary. The company noted that its global business foundation has been further expanded, particularly as strong growth continued in key overseas markets such as Europe, North America, and Thailand.
Global equipment sales, which form the foundation of profitability, also showed a sustained upward trend. As equipment sales increased across major regions worldwide—including North America, Europe, Central and South America, the Middle East, and Asia—the cumulative number of equipment units sold globally stood at approximately 48,000 as of the end of June. Driven by the expansion of equipment deployment, overseas consumables sales also surged by 32.6% compared to the same period last year.
By product, the “Ultrapormer” (known as “Shrink” in Korea), the company’s flagship high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) device, drove performance by achieving its highest-ever quarterly global sales. While the monopolar radiofrequency (MRF) device “Volnume” maintained steady sales, expanded sales of the new product “QuadSay” and increased demand for lasers in Europe also contributed to the results.
On a standalone basis, the operating profit margin for the second quarter exceeded 50%; however, on a consolidated basis, initial operating costs associated with overseas business expansion—including the transition to direct management in South America and Japan—were reflected. The company plans to continue investing to achieve a turnaround in local sales and accelerate growth.
CLASSYS Inc. official stated, “The second quarter was significant in that quarterly revenue exceeded 100 billion won for the first time, driven by growth in major global markets and the expansion of our business scope,” adding, “In the second half of the year, we will maintain our global growth momentum by simultaneously strengthening package promotions to reinforce our leadership in the domestic market and enhancing B2B and B2C marketing in Central and South America.”
